Erbärmlicher Abstieg - Miserable descent

In Zeiten ökumenischer Gespräche, relativ häufiger Treffen des Papstes von Rom mit dem  Oekumenischen Patriarchen von Konstantinopel, wo sie sich regelmäßig in  den Armen liegen, den Bruderkuss austauschen und sich in Bekundungen der gegenseitigen Ehrerbietung übertreffen, in Zeiten wie diesen ist es ein Unding, wenn ich mir von einem orthodoxen Pfarrer sagen lassen muß:
 "Erbärmlich, so ein Abstieg in den Hafen der Groß- und Machtkirche."
Und das nur, weil ich jetzt in Gemeinschaft mit römisch-katholischen Christen lebe, bete, Gottesdienst feiere.
So kann man nur reden, wenn man in Kategorien von Erhabenheit und Minderwertigkeit in Bezug auf die beiden Kirchen denkt. Ich kann so nicht mehr denken. Keine der beiden - Römisch Katholische und Orthodoxe Kirche - sehe ich als der anderen gegenüber erhaben oder minderwertig an. Beide sind die Eine Heilige Katholische und Apostolische Kirche, sind  (mit andern) der Leib Christi.
So bedeutet mein Wechsel von einer Schwesterkirche zur anderen auch keine Wertaussage über die beiden Kirchen. Es ist eher die Frage danach wo, in welcher Ausprägung des christlichen Glaubens ich authentischer leben und glauben kann. Und diese Frage muß jeder für sich selbst beantworten. Und jeder der das tut, sollte es tun dürfen, ohne dafür despektierlich behandelt zu werden.  

In times of ecemenical dialog, relatively frequent meetings between the Pope of Rom and the Ecumenical Patriarch of Konstantinopel, where they hug each other, exchange the fraternal kiss and exceed each other in expressions of mutual deference, in times as these it is preposterous if I have to hear from an orthodox priest:
"Miserable such a descent to the haven of that Church enslaved by magnitude and power."
And this only because I now live, pray and celebrate worship together with roman-catholic christians.
You can only say so if you think in categories of grandeur and inferiority concerning the two churches.  I can't think so anymore. I consider neither the Roman-Catholic nor the Orthodox  Church as above or inferior compared with the other. Both are the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church, are (together with other christians) the Body of Christ.

So my change from one of the Sisterchurches to the other doesn't mean a statement of worth refered to both of the Churches. It's rather the question where and in which shaping of the christian  faith I can live and believe more authenticly. This question every one has to answer for himself. And no one should be allowed to do so without being treated contemptuous.
